  3. An Inspector calls..! The AA 2017 report.

After a very good introduction to the Park by Charlotte, who also showed me inside one of the wonderful new and fabulously sited Hobbit Holes I was left to explore this site fully.

This is a site that attracts excellent reviews on various social media and it is very easy to see why. Leaving aside the stunning views across Ullswater to the fells beyond, which the terraced pitches exploit so wonderfully well, it is the very real attention and care that is given to customer satisfaction that strikes you and is apparent from the personal feedback I received from those I spoke to on site. Despite the site being on a fairly significant slope Daniel has done a wonderful job terracing pitches that are both level and well surfaced. Similarly the Amenities are of a very high standard. The excellent Bar deserves a special mention as it really does deliver charm that no amount of money can buy.

Daniel outlined forthcoming plans to significantly improve the shop/reception/campers kitchen that will undoubtedly raise the quality of this excellent site further.

I was also impressed with how innovative Daniel and Susan from Park Cliffe and Douglas from Castlerigg has been in setting up a Pod & Peddle, whereby guests are, if need be, picked up from the railway in Penrith and with their own or with bikes provided cycle between the three sites on a route card provided, staying each night in a pod before, if need be, being returned to Penrith.

I can confirm that The Quiet Site retains an AA Five Pennant rating and a raised AA Quality Score of 86%.
