Meet the Quiet Team

Owen

Our Head Barman, Owen is a one off. We are so lucky to have him as part of our team.
In his spare time Owen keeps a flock of goats (making cheese with the milk), writes and directs the local pantomime (always a sell out!) and sits on the Parish Council.
 
 

George

Our general manager, George is the 3rd Generation of Holders to be associated with The Quiet Site.  
In his spare time George is a keen horseman.  He supports Arsenal and plays in the local 5 a side competitions. 

Rebeca

Rebecca lives locally and joined us part-time while still at school.  
An amazingly positive person, Rebecca mastered running our reception in no time at all.  
We are delighted she will join us during her holidays from  University where she is studying medicine. In her spare time, Rebecca plays netball and tennis and is a keen cold water swimmer. 

Jenny

Heading up our reception team, Jenny has just completed her first year with us.  She has a huge amount of hospitality experience and formally headed up the front of house of a Michelin-starred restaurant and hotel. 
 

Stephen and Tina

Running the Quiet Bite, Stephen and Tina are excellent cooks and are very proud of their delicious food.  

Sarah and Josh

Joining us in 2025 as site wardens, Sarah and Josh have quickly established themselves as excellent team members.
Unexpected skills include upholstery!
 

Sasha

Joining us from Sussex, Sasha splits her time between the Quiet Bar, The Quiet Bite and Housekeeping.  She loves the Lakes and can often be found on the fells ticking off the Wainwrights. 
Sasha has also become the second home for site dog Peggy!

Graham

Graham heads up the grounds team at the Quiet Site.  A former outdoor instructor, he loves the Lake District and is very knowledgeable about the Lake District fells.  

Brenda and Nicola

Brenda has been with us for many years and heads up the housekeeping team.
Nicola joined the housekeeping team this year and has quickly become a real asset. 
 

Bro

Bro splits her time heer between housekeeping and running the Quiet Bar. In her spare time she helps her husband train racehorses!

Libby

Libby can be found in The Quiet Bite serving delicious pizza or tasty bacon rolls.
In her spare time she enjoys riding horses, showjumping to a very high level. 

Charlie and Mel 

One of our long-term couples, Mel and Charlie are incredibly experienced in all things hospitality. They usually run the weekend shift and are  very popular and widely known to our loyal customer base.  
Mel was part of our victorious Santa canoe team that won the Santa boat race 3 years running. Liverpool football team is close to Mels’ heart, so 2025/6 has been a challenge!
Charlie is responsible for all our sign writing on site and is a keen photographer. 

Judy

The books here at the Quiet Site have been kept balanced for the last 10 years by Judy. We all look forward to seeing Judy once a week, but none more so than our site dog, Peggy!

Daniel

Daniel has been at The Quiet Site for 30 years and still loves everything about running a holiday park.
In his spare time Daniel enjoys fell walking and dreaming up new things to do at The Quiet Site!

David and the Build Team

David and his team of builders have been creating beautiful things at The Quiet Site for the last 20 years. Their first job, way back in 2006, was to reroof the bar and they have rarely been away since! Completed projects to date include:
  •  Bar and service block re-roof
  • Service Block Refurbs (Three times to date!)
  • Biomass Boiler Room
  • 15 Hobbit Holes
  • New shop, Office, Campers’ Kitchen, and meeting room
  • 15 Gingerbread Houses + new plant room
  • 16 Glamping Cabins
  • New Bar WCs

The Dobinsons

Raymond Trevor and three generations of the Dobinson family have been in the middle of groundworks at The Quiet Site for the last 40 years. 
Much of what you see here today started with these guys!

Ryan

Our top level joiner who is a wonderful perfectionist.  Ryan has been creating beautiful joinery for us for many years now. His piece de resistance is the silver birch tree sculpture that grows through our zero waste shop.

Kyle

Kyle is the second generation of the Benson family to keep the lights on here.  He has overseen all major projects for the last 5 years, taking over from his father, Stephen, and business partner Simon.

Chris

Chris and his ‘Tiriril Brewery have been supplying us with quality beer for more than 20 years. A brewing master, Chris is responsible for helping The Quiet Bar be one of the best places in the Lakes to spend an evening!

Jacob

One of the very best up-and-coming plumbers in the business,  Jacob took over our plumbing after the sad death of Cumbria’s infamous ‘Bowsey’.  Always upbeat and positive, Jacob is an early starter and makes sure our plumbing is top notch.
