2025 is the last year The Quiet Site will supply unmetered electricity. From 2026, all electricity delivered to our pitches will be metered (not Glamping units). Guests will receive a “Fair Usage” quantity of electricity as part of their pitch fees, and any excess use will be charged at cost.
Over the coming weeks we will be sending emails to guests with bookings for 2026 explaining the details of these changes.
This is necessary due to the constantly increasing cost of electricity, the need to implement some collective responsibility on electrical use and sadly, some guests charging electric vehicles through their pitch hook-ups.
We have been monitoring electrical use this year and the REALLY GOOD NEWS is that the vast majority of our guests will have nothing extra to pay!
More details to follow, including the “Fair Use” values month by month and some easy tips on how to minimise your electrical use.
Changes are never easy, but as a business we are committed to providing a great product to our guests in the most sustainable way and at the best price.
