GROUP BOOKINGS

The Quiet Site is exactly what we say we are – a quiet site!  We are not a silent site or a noisy site but we are a quiet one.

We try to avoid having too many rules and achieve a peaceful park largely through the mutual respect our guests have for one another.  However, we do have one golden rule – we DO NOT accept large groups.

This rule has worked well for us for decades and ensures we maintain the ‘peace and quiet’ our visitors expect.  The Quiet Site is perfect for solo travellers, couples and families and we are very happy for two couples or two families to holiday with us, particularly if one of you has stayed with us before.  We reserve the right to charge a noise deposit for any small group.

If you are a larger group then in most cases we suggest this is probably not be the park for you.  If you would still like to stay then please phone or email the office before making any booking.  We are more likely to approve your request if we have a better understanding of your needs and expectations, it is low season and you agree to pay a noise deposit.

Any groups who book individual pitches or accommodation with us will be asked to leave.

COTTAGES

Cancellation by you

If you cancel more than 6 weeks before arrival you will lose your deposit, but will not be charged for the remainder of your booking.
If you cancel 6 weeks or less before arrival, or fail to check in (“no-show”), or leave before your due departure date, we reserve the right to retain the full balance paid for the whole of your booking, less any costs saved by us as a result of your cancellation, for example if we are able to re-let your accommodation.
Cancellations must be confirmed in writing or by email.
It is recommended that you take out travel insurance which provides for cancellation cover.

Cancellation by us

In the unlikely event that we are forced to cancel your booking we will attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If suitable accommodation is not available (or acceptable to you) then we will refund all monies already paid by you and confirm that you will not be liable for any further payments to us. If suitable alternative accommodation is available, then this will not be regarded as breach of contract on our part and no compensation will be payable in those circumstances.

Cancellation due to travel restrictions as a result of war, pandemic outbreaks etc we are normally unable to refund monies but will issue full credit notes valid for 2 years from the arrival date.
