The Park and our Facilities

In addition to our stunning views and a fantastic range of accommodation at The Quiet Site, the park offers all the facilities you need for an enjoyable glamping, camping or touring break with us.

The Quiet Site’s range of facilities will ensure you have a relaxing holiday with us, whether you’re glamping in a Gingerbread House, Glamping Burrow or Camping Pod, staying in your motorhome or caravan or pitching your tent.

Unusually for a glamping, camping and holiday park, our newly refurbished shower facilities provide private, spacious cubicles containing loo, washbasin and large shower.

Our onsite bar, food and shop, like our park, are open all year. We have a well equipped campers kitchen, children’s games room and even somewhere to wash your muddy dogs, boots and bikes. We even have a meeting room available!

WiFi – available on all pitches. 5Mb/s. Work from Anywhere – The ultimate ‘Fresh Air Office’.

Motorhome service point with large grey water dump grill.

Lovely large Zero waste shop. Please note we do not sell bottled water, but you can refill your water containers with free, chilled and filtered water in our Campers Kitchen and at The Quiet Bite.

The Quiet Bite is an Off grid wood fired takeaway. We are open:
Friday + Saturday evenings 5pm – 8.30pm for Pizzas (last orders 8.45). Saturday + Sunday mornings 8.30am – 11.00AM Crepes and Bacon Rolls. Monday – Friday mornings 9.00AM – 11.00AM Bacon Rolls. Sunday – Thursday evenings 5pm – 7.30pm Pizzas (last orders 7.15) Delicious Tea and Coffee always available when open.

An extraordinary olde-worlde bar dating from 1680, complete with large open log fire. Open between 4 and 10pm every day of the year.

Children’s games room adjacent to the bar with table football, air hockey and a pool table.

New inside Campers kitchen with kettles, toaster, microwaves, fridges, freezers, water filter, tables and chairs and USB chargers.

3 popular family shower rooms and family bathroom.

Electric car charge points. Two 22KW EV charge points.

2 fantastic map rooms showing Ullswater and the surrounding fells in a huge scale. Great for planning and reviewing days on the lake and fells.

All pitches are terraced and can be pre-booked.

A grassy playfield with earth mounds, trees and a need for an imagination. Please note this is not adventure playground and we do not operate swings, slides etc. This field closes at 9pm. When it rains the grass can become wet!

Laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers and a separate drying room.

New recycling and waste building.

Meeting room available to guests with AV equipment. Free use to guests who need access to normal office equipment or who need to take Zoom/Teams meeting.

Showers and wash basins use Solar, Biomass and Ground Source heat energy, no fossil fuels are used. At present we have separate ladies and gents shower/WC buildings.

These are being replaced at the end of 2022 with individual private rooms that will contain a shower, WC and wash basin.
