Following last night’s tumultuous broadcast by the Prime Minister, The Quiet Site remains closed by law for all accommodation, touring and camping.
The shop is open via email ordering and collection.
The bar remains closed by law until further notice.

Now is still the time to Stay Home and not to visit the Lake District. We have one of the oldest demographics in the country so many of our community are at risk.

The Quiet Team have met each week since lock down to discuss the current situation and how we will manage a phased and progressive route to re-opening.

We are confident that we will be able to operate our accommodation and pitches safely, observing social distancing, using a contactless check in and an approved industry standard cleaning regime… but only when the time is right.

The earliest we have been told we can open is 1st July. We do not know yet what shape this opening will take.

Before we re-open we need to satisfy:

-That our local community is not put at risk.
-Our team can work safely.
-Our customers can enjoy their holiday in safety.
-A full risk assessment is undertaken.

We are registered with the local authority to provide accommodation for NHS workers, key workers and others in urgent need and have been delighted to provide much needed accommodation.

The Quiet Site will still be here, looking out over Ullswater, waiting for you to return. We have opened our online booking from this September. Gift Voucher are also available online.

Myself and the Quiet Team hope you are all safe and look forward to welcoming you back to the Lakes when the time is right.

Daniel
