  3. We are Open – Here is what you need to know

Following the introduction of the 3 tier system for restrictions in England, the government are asking people living in Tier 3 areas, (very high risk)  to avoid staying overnight in another part of the UK (except for work) and to not leave the very high alert level area to stay in a second home. Full details can be found here.

The Quiet Site is currently in a Tier 1 (Medium Risk) area.  We do not expect this risk rating to change in the next few weeks.  We treat our customers as responsible adults and as such would expect you to do the right thing. In the absence of clear industry guidelines we will rely on the common sense of our customers.

Fresh air holidays are one of the few ways we can currently safely ‘escape the everyday’ at present and we hope, with your help, to continue to be able to offer this much needed service.

The Quiet Site is open and operating with enhanced cleaning, fogging and social distancing measures.  These new operating practices and risk assessments have been completed with the purpose of keeping everyone safe.  We have been open since the beginning of July and are delighted how responsible and thoughtful our customers are being.  Visit England have awarded us “Good to Go” showing we comply with all the latest guidelines. We have put in place an environment where you can safely enjoy your holiday, but ultimately it is your responsibility to ensure you follow guidelines and keep yourselves and others safe.

Below is an outline of how we are operating at present:

– Seasonal Touring Pitch holders must use their own onboard facilities until further notice.
– We would prefer that touring caravans and motorhomes use their own use their own facilities if possible.

-Camping pitches, VW’s and small motorhomes can bring WC Tent at no charge.

The showers, basins and WC’s are now all open. Masks must be worn (legal requirement) when entering and leaving the service building. Please be alert while in and around the services and maintain strict social distancing. Spending as little time as possible in the shared service building is advisable. Please clean your teeth etc back at your pitch, Pod or Hobbit Hole (think back to scout camp!).  We are operating a strict cleaning regime which includes regular Fogging.

The bar will be open every night for seated guests with social distancing and a one way system. Masks to be worn when going to and from bar and tables. Once seated please order your drinks via the ‘Trof’ app.  Download ‘Trof’ from the App store.  The bar is open between 5pm and 10pm each day.

The shop will be open, serving through the hatch until further notice.

Please remember to send your contact info and names of group to trace@thequietsite.co.uk. This information will be destroyed after 21 days.  This is a legal requirement from 14th September.

Please comply with the ‘Rule of 6’ at all times.

Until further notice we will not be allowing our guests to receive day visitors.

Please use the hand sanitisers provided as you enter and leave buildings.

QR Codes for NHS Track and Trace can be found at the entrance to the bar and by the shop serving hatch.

All our guests need to be mindful of the community within which we operate. This is our community and is not to be put at risk. The majority of you have visited us before so already know that without the support of our local community we could not operate.

Extra vigilance to provide generous social distancing and very slow driving along the narrower access lanes is the minimum we would expect from our customers.  We would suggest a maximum speed on the approach roads of 20 mph.  Anyone not abiding by this request will be required to leave.

We will be providing contactless check-ins to all our guests. To protect our staff, face to face contact will be at an absolute minimum. Our cleaning staff will be using appropriate PPE and fogging machines before and after cleans. Please respect our staff, give then space and listen to their advice.

You, our customers will be provided with an environment where you can enjoy your holiday in safety. But you must be responsible for your own safety and consider the safety and wellbeing of all others at all times. There will be a minimum 1m+ social distancing requirement at all times on site. Anyone not abiding by this request will be required to leave the site.

If you are unable to take a booked holiday due to any COVID related matter we are happy to offer you a credit note to the value of your stay.  Alternatively we can refund you less a £10 admin charge. This enables you to book with confidence.

The world is returning to a new normal and we are excited to be a part of it. As ever we will be considering sustainability in all our business decisions.
